EX-OTAGO are an indie-pop band from Genova formed by Maurizio Carucci (voice, keyboard, choirs), Simone Bertuccini (acoustic guitar, classical guitar, electric guitar, bass, choirs), Olmo Martellacci (keyboard, synthesizer, wurlitzer, bass, saxophone, flute, choirs), Francesco Bacci (electric guitar, charango, bass, harmonium, choir) Rachid Bouchabla (drums, percussions).  In October 2016 they’ve released ‘MARASSI’ thanks to the collaboration with Garrincha Dischi, INRI and Universal Music Italy, all in this together for the very first time. Anticipated by 3 singles ‘Cinghiali Incazzati’, ‘I Giovani D’Oggi’ and ‘Quando Sono Con Te’, it was a success all over the country, collecting several consents from medias and partners. In the mean-time Rachid Bouchabla joined the band as new drummer. From the success of the song ‘Gli Occhi Della Luna’ featuring Jake La Furia, become the idea to ask other influential artists to re-covered they’re own songs as special tracks for the new ‘Marassi Deluxe’ (Eugenio Finardi, Dardust, Willie Peyote, Mecna, Levante, Caparezza and others).  In 2017 the group have staged they’re talent at ‘Concerto Primo Maggio’ in Rome, i-Days in Monza as Radiohead’s opening act, Sherwood Festival and Home Festival, until joined the stage with Lo Stato Sociale for an incredible event in Milano with 5000 people.  2018 was the comeback year at music with ‘Tutto Bene’ as smash hit of summer season and it was performed for the very first time at Miami Festival in Milano. It was followed by ‘Questa Notte’, ‘Bambini’ and ‘Solo Una Canzone’ the song who made their participation at Sanremo Festival in February 2019. Always in February the band created a unique and never-seen-before event: INSTORE & CINEMA TOUR, with whom they met their fans, first at the Corochinato’s showcase and then at the cinema for a preview of “Ex-Otago – Siamo come Genova “, anticipated by an acoustic live. “Ex-Otago – Siamo come Genova” presented on 2nd February at Seeyousound Torino’s Festival, it’s a documentary movie signed by Paolo Santamaria that talks about the special relationship between the band and the city of Genoa (since always singed in their songs) and talks of the stories and every-day life of the band, from the success of “Marassi” to the creation of “Corochinato”. Alongside they’ve announced ‘Cosa Fai Questa Notte? Tour 2019’ which will bring the band across the country performing their new songs taken from ‘COROCHINATO’, the latest album out on February the 8th.
