GIUNTO DI CARDANO

Il Giunto di Cardano is a Foggia-based band that has been performing since 2011. Distorted echoes and delayed sound walls mark the blending of various genres in their productions: from alternative rock to post-punk, from early new wave to psychedelic rock. Since the early years, their experimental approach has found an ideal place on the stages of several Apulian festivals, including the Giovinazzo Rock Festival, Arezzo Wave Puglia and Taranto Rock Festival where they have shared the stage with artists such as Bud Spencer Blues Explosion, Toys Orchestra, I Cani and Andrea Chimenti. On January 5, 2017 the band released their first album “Kadima”, a self-production on the reactions of the human subconscious when confronted with a choice. The album, which was immediately appreciated by critics, was followed by a national tour of about 100 dates with the opening of some concerts by Paolo Benvegnù, Management del dorore post operatorio, Voina and The Zen Circus. In the summer of 2017, the Rete dei Festival Italiani selected the band among the best emerging live performances, bringing it on stage at MEI – Meeting of Independent Labels of Faenza. In December 2018 the band closed their concert tour on stage at the Auditorium Flog in Florence, where they won first prize in the 30th edition of the Rock Contest Controradio. Currently the band is in the process of composing their second album, collaborating with several record companies they met during their busy tour agenda The future is all to be written.

KADIMA LIVE

The show “Kadima” by Il Giunto di Cardano is made up of basic sound elements from alternative/rock/electronic music, elaborated by this ensemble of musicians in order to build an energetic, solid and original sound texture. The instrumental trio takes the audience on a different journey compared with that of a typical live music concert.
The concert bursts out in the first notes, enthralling the audience with a wave of sounds that then evolves into more recognizable tunes up to an experimental suite that closes the concert with a touch of highly alternative music. The performance at Medimex in Taranto could be the final date of a tour before an audience already aware of their project.
