KING HAMMOND & THE RUDE BOY MAFIA
Attending a live performance by King Hammond & The Rude Boy Mafia means taking part in that special time in the history of music that has given rise to cultural movements that are still widespread today in the name of integration and anti-racism. Icon of the 2Tone, KH’s style today is a perfect mix of English aplomb and Caribbean groove. His live power, which in the 80s made him create a new genre renamed by the media “skacid”, has remained completely unchanged in its exuberance. Compact rhythm section, powerful organ, guitar traveling between reggae and rock’n’roll and a bursting wind section are the perfect recipe that brought the KH show to America, Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Costa Rica, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, France, Ireland and, of course, to the UK and to release with the Chicago Jump Up Records. Often his live shows make use of renowned guests, including reggae legends Dave Barker and Susan Cadogan Possible surprises in each of his shows…
