At the beginning of 2025, the first mapping of live music spaces and festivals promoted by Puglia Sounds, the Puglia Region program for the development of the regional music system implemented with Puglia Culture, in collaboration with KeepOn Live, a trade association of Italian live clubs and festivals, was concluded in Puglia. The mapping, the results of which are being presented at Medimex, is a fundamental action to analyze the regional live music ecosystem, obtain an updated and detailed mapping and define the next development policies of the sector. Numerous administrative and financial data, functions, activities, audiences and human resources were collected and analyzed through a questionnaire to monitor the performance of the sector and delve into its dynamics. The survey involved data collection standardized to surveys carried out in other countries to flow into the mapping of the European sector. The mapping of Puglia music clubs and festivals is in fact based on the Survey, data collecting of European live clubs created by Live DMA, a European network for the promotion of live music funded by the European Commission through Creative Europe.
