The European Jazz Conference, which this year is called Somewhere Called Home, is an important annual meeting of professionals in the jazz and creative and improvised music sector that brings together over 400 delegates from 40 countries, including promoters, cultural managers, agents, artistic directors of festivals and venues and representatives of national and regional organizations. The event, unique in Europe, is based on building long-lasting professional relationships, developing new projects and artistic collaborations, sharing skills and keeping up to date with the latest trends. The conference aims to raise awareness of music scenes and best practices from around the world, including non-European countries. For Apulian and national music, the Conference represents a prestigious showcase.
In Bari, from 25 to 28 September, four days of live music and meetings are scheduled in some of the most evocative places in the city. The conference in Bari is organized by Europe Jazz Network and Puglia Culture, as part of the actions of Puglia Sounds, the project for the development of the regional music system created in collaboration with the Puglia Region.
