Gimme gimme EU funds for music

Part 2

Organized by the Creative Europe Desk Italy. With Federico Rasetti (Live DMA), Denis Longhi (Jazz:Re:Found). Moderated by Marzia Santone (Project Officer, Culture Office – Creative Europe Desk Italy Ales SpA – MiC-DGCC)

I was feeling sick and fragile, losing my mind / Heard about these European Funds from a good friend of mine.

These are the words that may resonate in the minds of those who make a living in music when they consider European funding. Creative Europe, the European Commission’s program for the cultural and creative sectors, is also open to concert venues, festivals, the third sector, and all organizations that make up the music ecosystem in Europe. The calls for proposals do not support the national dimension, but offer the opportunity to network, engage in dialogue, internationalize, innovate, and support artists through cooperation. Perhaps even the opportunity to build, where possible, shared responses to the challenges of the mainstream and the growing power of digital platforms.

The panel is for those who want to learn about the latest call for proposals dedicated to “European Cooperation Projects”—and perhaps participate as a partner—discover the potential future of Creative Europe from 2028, and learn about the new GreenBeat Nexus funding scheme, starting at the end of 2026. Although the music sector faces structural challenges, GreenBeat Nexus supports the green transition of European music with €3.6 million allocated to over 60 projects.

Three Open Calls (starting in December 2026) will guide the entire process: from the initiation of sustainable practices to their development, up to initiatives with systemic impact within and beyond the music ecosystem. GreenBeat Nexus is a project co-funded by the European Union as part of the Music Moves Europe initiative, and is implemented by a European consortium coordinated by INOVA+ and composed of the European Music Council, The Green Room, On the Move, and KEA European Affairs.
