Magalí Datzira, a young double bass player, singer and composer from Barcelona. With a long experience on stage (Andrea Motis, Rita Payés, Christina Rosenvinge…), she draws inspiration from a wide range of influences, from funk to electronic pop, from the most intimate and Mediterranean sounds to urban rhythms. A musical universe that fully crystallizes with an intense, urgent and contemporary voice. After presenting her first solo album, Des de la cuina (2023), she now returns with La salut i la bellesa, a healing album, in which she goes through a deeply intimate experience. Magalí talks about emptying herself to fill herself up again, she talks about sadness, paranoia and the daily abysses. It talks about the various stages of love, but above all about taking care, about healing and being healed, and about friendship, as a vital pillar in this ultra-connected world.

La Niña, Bab L’Bluz and Magalí Datzira are the three artists chosen by Antonio Diodato for Le strade del Mediterraneo, the special project created for Medimex. Three extraordinary female voices, interpreters of the sound and cultural atmospheres of the Mediterranean area, to explore the theme of the Road, which this year is the thematic thread of Medimex, through the perspective and identity of the sea. The sea as the main centuries-old connection between peoples, cultures and music of the world, with Taranto as a safe and regenerating port of call.
