Admission to the concerts is free until all available seats are filled.
The quintet, led by Antonio Scannapieco and Pasquale Geremia, was founded in 2024. Over the past two years, it has received numerous awards, from the Umbria Jazz Conad Jazz Contest to the St. Moritz Jazz Festival, as well as numerous live performances at Italy’s top festivals. At the heart of its sound is 1960s hard bop, which gives the quintet a vigorous style, fueled by the interplay, both classical and contemporary, of trumpet and tenor saxophone, already a signature style of quintets of the era. Scannapieco won the Massimo Urbani Award and is about to release his first album, entirely performed by the quintet, one of the most vibrant bands in contemporary Italian jazz.
