The Ex Palazzo delle Poste hosts 12 conference events. 8 panels: protections; copyright; non-fungible tokens in music; the new European Copyright Directive; the Creative Europe programme; green music; music commissions; the challenges facing clubs and promoters. 2 keynotes: the challenges of live entertainment; NFTs. A One to One session with Creative Europe Desk Italia. A listening session.
Spazio Murat hosts the exhibition “Denis O’Regan with Queen”. As official photographer of “The Magic Tour”, O’Regan took some of the band’s most striking photos. 60 shots are on show, some of them presented in Italy for the first time.
The Teatro Kursaal Santalucia hosts the lessons of the Medimex Music Factory, run in collaboration with Sugar Music Publishing. The tutors are Brail, KWSK, Luciennn, El Verano, Carmine Tundo, Kaput Blue, La Niña, Gianni Pollex, Alessandra Flora and Marco Guazzone. Puglia Sounds Musicarium, basic and advanced, takes place at the Teatro Kursaal Santalucia, at MAST Recording Studio and online. The basic courses cover communication (Gabriele Aprile); sound engineering (Antonio Porcelli); lighting design (Pietro Sperduti, Maurizio Fabbretti). The advanced courses cover communication (Giuseppe Tatoli, Claudio Morgese, Francesca Delli Carri); sound engineering (Gian Luca Cavallini); live event photography (Giovanni Canitano); recording and mixing (Marc Urselli).
6 Incontri d’Autore (Meet the Author) at the Teatro Kursaal Santalucia and the Teatro Margherita with Denis O’Regan, Giovanni Truppi, Rancore, Shablo, Venerus and Diodato. They are joined by a special event with Woody Woodmansey, drummer for David Bowie among others.
16 showcase concerts at Torre Quetta: Radicanto, Nidi d’Arac, Folkatomik, Après La Classe, Sarita, Rachele Andrioli, Giovanni Angelini, Fabio Accardi & FabCrew, Federico Buccini & Jemma Lab and A Momentary Lapse of Happiness, these last two bands taking part thanks to the collaboration with Lazio Sound. And also Sound of Garage, Sentinelle, Gaia Gentile, Red Room, Mr. Bricks, Marco Cassanelli and Deckard.
The Teatro Kursaal Santalucia hosts a screening of the documentary “Zappa” by Alex Winter, introduced by Ernesto Assante and Gino Castaldo.
laFeltrinelli hosts 3 book presentations: the Medimex Book Stories continue.
MEDIMEX radio broadcasts every day from the Ex Palazzo delle Poste. At the Rotonda in via Paolo Pinto, the live sets by James Holroyd and The Chemical Brothers close the return to Bari.
