Hey Ho! Let’s go!

From June 18th to 21st, projection mapping by Roberto Santoro and Blending Pixels will be on the façade of the Aragonese Castle.

From June 18th to 21st, 9:00 PM – 12:00 AM

Visible from Corso Due Mari, Taranto

The show traces the journey of an aesthetic born on the margins—in New York garages, London pubs, on walls covered in torn posters—and which, decade after decade, has come to colonize stadiums, advertising, and mass culture.

From the Ramones to Blink-182, via the Sex Pistols, the Aragonese Castle becomes the surface on which this transformation is rewritten in real time: each act of the show is an era, each shift in visual register is a handover between the street and the market. There’s no nostalgia for a lost purity, nor a judgment on the commercialization of punk.

Punk isn’t dead, it’s just changed status: from revolution to widespread aesthetic, from a cry to a critical attitude that continues to circulate beneath the surface of pop culture. The Aragonese Castle serves as a mirror: it’s up to the viewer to recognize themselves in the complexity of a movement that sought to change the world and, in its own way, partially succeeded.
